Squadron Adjutants’ Workshop
Workshop Objectives:
- To provide an overview of the typical duties & responsibilities relating to the role of Squadron Adjutant.
- To highlight ‘routine Squadron administration’ and to identify best practice to ensure efficient handling on the unit.
- To provide knowledge on the use of publications within the Air Cadet Organisation and to assist individuals with the completion of the most common forms used at Squadron level.
- To provide an opportunity to discuss with fellow Squadron Adjutant’s ideas and good practice for future consideration.
Target Audience:
The workshop is open to all uniform staff, Civilian Instructors and Instructor Cadets who are either appointed the role of Squadron Adjutant / Deputy or considering undertaking this role in the near future.

The workshop content includes the following:
- Typical Duties & Responsibilities of the Sqn Adjutant
- Squadron Administration
- Filing Systems
- Sqn Records, Data Protection Act & Freedom of Information Act
- Use of PC System – Sqn Database / Project BADER
- Forms & Publications
- Notice Boards – Sqn Standing Orders, Routine Orders
- Defence Writing
- ATC Examinations Procedure
- RFCA & Works Orders
- VQ Awards Administration
Workshop Duration:
The workshop starts at 0900 hrs on Sunday and finishes approximately 1630 hrs.

Next Course in 2010 (Bi-annual)
Cost:
£1.00 for refreshments (pack lunches will be required).
