Role: WSO – Wing Sports Officer

Biography:

  • Joined the ATC in November 1990, at 504 (West Nottingham) Sqn, then part of the East Midlands Wing.
  • Progressed through the Cadet NCO Rank structure reaching CWO in April 1997.
  • Transferred to 2418 (Sherwood) Sqn as part of the Adult Staff Development Policy.
  • Commissioned into the RAFVR as a Pilot Officer in October 1998.
  • Transferred back to 504 (West Nottingham) upon Commissioning to take on the Roles of Sqn Shooting Officer and then Adjutant.
  • Was Promoted to Flying Officer in October 2000.
  • In May 2001 transferred to 1936 (Newton) Sqn as a Squadron Officer undertaking the role of Training Officer.
  • Promoted to Flight Lieutenant in April 2002, and was appointed Officer Commanding 1936 (Newton) Sqn.
  • Joined the Wing Adult Training Team in October 2005 as instructor on the Pre-Uniform, Training Officers, and Adjutant Course.
  • In March 2008 joined the Wing Team for South and East Midlands Wing as the Wing Sports Officer.

Civilian Occupation:

Campus Manager / Co-ordinator for a Further Education College in Nottingham.
