BASIC Training Course
Course Objective:
To give potential Instructor Cadets an insight and training into:
- The structure of the Air Cadet Organisation (ACO)
- Their responsibilities as a supervisor and legal adult
- Basic administrative requirements
- Conditions of service as Instructors
Target Audience:
This course is aimed at potential Instructor Cadets within the Wing.
Course Content:
The course content includes the following:
- ATC Structure & Organisation
- RAF Structure & Organisation
- Instructor Cadet Responsibilities
- Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Discipline
- Conditions of Service
- Financial Matters
Course Duration:
The course is non-residential, starting at 1000 hrs and finishing at approximately 1630 hrs.
Cost:
Nil. As this course is a mandatory requirement, refreshments will be provided free of charge.

- Course BTC 1/10: 21/03/10 – HQ 1360 Sqn
- Course BTC 2/10: 18/07/10 – RAF Cottesmore
- Course BTC 3/10: 10/10/10 – HQ 378 Sqn
- Course BTC 4/10: 28/11/10 – RAF Cottesmore
