Cadet Provisional Radio Operators Certificate

Course Objective:

To provide training and enhance cadet’s skills to be able to demonstrate their knowledge of Air Cadet radio operating procedures, techniques and basic radio operating skills and to prepare them to successfully pass their Provisional Operator’s Certificate which is the ATC’s initial qualification for Radio. After this course, successful cadets may continue their training towards the full Operator’s Certificate.

Target Audience:

This course is aimed at cadets who have a genuine interest in radio, who wish to work towards achieving the full radio Operator’s Certificate and radio Communicator’s Badge.

Course Content:

The course content includes the following:

  • Syllabus covering all aspects of ACP 31 section 6
  • Introduction to radio exercises
  • Familiarisation and basic radio principles
  • Provisional Operators’ Certificate examination

Course Duration:

The course is non-residential and starts at 0930 hrs and finishes at 1630 hrs.

Cost:

£0.50 to cover the costs of refreshments.

Course POC 1/10: 15/05/10 – RAF Cottesmore (40 places)
Course POC 2/10: 17/07/10 – RAF Cottesmore (40 places)
