Child Protection - Wing Child Protection Advisor
In conjunction with the Wg Ex O, the responsibilities of the Wing Child Protection Advisor is as follows;
- Ensuring awareness of the contents of ACP 4
- Acting as a local point of contact and coordinator for child protection/safeguarding matters in the Wing
- Supporting and advising adult members of staff and cadets involved in child protection cases and referrals
- Providing advice and support to initial enquiries into complaints or incidents involving the protection of children
- Ensuring awareness of local safeguarding contact details and maintaining working relationships with those agencies
- Assisting with the arrangement of local representation at multi-agency strategy meetings
- Keeping up to date with best practice and legislation in relation to safeguarding and child protection
- Becoming involved in child protection elements of training
