An air cadet from 1359 (Beeston) Sqn has been awarded the Renault Trucks Apprentice of the Year for 2008 at a recent event at the Heritage Motor Museum in Warwickshire.

Sgt Chris Peat, 18, works for RH Commercial Vehicles in Nottingham and has been a cadet at Beeston for 5 years. The award was presented in recognition of his performance on Renault Trucks UK Advanced Apprenticeship Options Programme specifically his “all round ability, attitude and academic results”.

The skills and experience that Sgt Peat has developed working for RH as an apprentice technician have benefited the squadron. He has carried out maintenance and repairs on the squadron mini-bus ensuring that it is available to transport squadron members to squadron and regional events.

Congratulations to Sgt Peat from all at 1359!!
