Over 30 cadets along with staff from 1359 (Beeston) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, joined soldiers from Chetwynd Barracks, the Royal British Legion, Army Cadet Force and other local youth groups for a Remembrance Sunday parade through Beeston on Sunday 13th November.
Commencing at the Royal British Legion in Beeston the parade stopped at the War Memorial for an outdoor service. Following the laying of wreaths by local dignitaries, representatives from the armed forces, the RBL and other organisations the parade then moved onto the church for a service of remembrance.
This was followed by a march back past the War Memorial to the Legion for refreshments and the chance to catch up with old acquaintances.
1359 were once again tasked with parading three banners, Cadet Sergeant James Grant carried the Union Flag ably escorted by Cadet Corporals Hannah Smith and Brendan Redgate, Cadet Sergeant Beth Denham had 1359’s banner and Cadet Corporal Martin Carre the Royal Air Force Association banner.
