Despite the distance of 240miles, these two squadrons were ready to meet to have a weekend to remember.
A very rare occurance within the ATC for two different regions, Central & East and South West region, to come together to experience something new.
The activities during the weekend, 7th, 8th and 9th of August, included hill walking, kayaking, rock climbing and cross country cycling (mountain biking).
Both squadrons shared accomodation at an Army Cadet Force training camp in Okehampton, Devon.
Many new friendships were formed throughout the weekend and hopefully will be maintained as we are planning a further camp, this time in Nottingham.
All the cadets would like to thank all those responsible for making this weekend possible and most memorable.
With a special thanks to George Blackbourn.
Cpl M Gidda, 138 (1st Nottingham) squadron.
