Cadets and members of staff from 138 squadron Air Training Corps, enjoyed a marathon double festive bag packs at Morrisons at stores in Netherfield and Gamston.
The aim of the double bag pack is to secure funds for an indoor range at the squadron.
Cadets and staff endured the madness that is Christmas to assist customers packing all their festive goodies into overflowing trolleys. The packs scheduled for an evening and all day went very smoothly indeed. Cadets and staff enjoyed some very festive banter with the customers and staff at Morrisons, giving out stickers to children who all loved the cadets.
One customer at Netherfield Mrs A O’Connor Said “The cadets were a credit to themselves, with excellent manors. They were very efficient with all the packing and not a single egg was broke”
Personnel Manager Philip Mcquire said” Extremely helpful and polite, the cadets had made a great impact on the queues in store. Excellent “
New Cadet Dylan Jenson said” I have really enjoyed the bag packing, very tiring but good .I think both bags went very well .
The day was rounded off with Cadet Sgt Rebekah Layton, gaining the award for Bronze Duke of Edinburgh back at the squadron.
138 squadron Air Training Corps would like to thank both staff and customers at Morrisons for their kind donations and invites at this busy time.
The event had been mentioned on two local radio stations
