1461 cadets aim true

6 cadets from 1461 are celebrating after receiving Squadron and Wing marksman awards for their shooting skills. The cadets who had all under gone extensive training and coaching to achieve their results. The target shooting, conducted under the watchful eye of Flying Officer Helen Gibson, 1F Sqn, was all done at the new “target days” being run at the Sqn where cadets spend a whole day at the weekend practicing their rifle skills.
Flying Officer Tim Hargraves, OiC 1461 Sqn said “This is great to see the cadets achieving success for their efforts. These marksman awards, added to the ones earlier in the year means we are starting to rack up some good results.”
These cadets add to the 7 marksman’s already achieved this year since the new “target days” were started at the beginning of 2010.
