1461 venture onto the super highway

Article posted: Apr 15, 2010 by Flt Lt Rayson-Flynn

1461 Wigston cadets have launched their new official website on the internet.
The new website replaces an old out of date page that was hard to update without specialist knowledge. Cadet Corporal A Cole the sqn computer wizz, was tasked with finding an easier to use platform so that the information could be updated on a regular basis. The website is used as a portal to those outside the organisation to demonstrate what it is the Air Cadet Organisation gets up to, and to promote the many varied activities of the cadets that make up 1461 Wigston sqn.
As well as a gallery with the latest pictures and an up to date news page, the new website also boosts an “authorise your absence” form, that the cadets can use let the sqn staff know if they are going to miss a parade night for any reason.
Fg Off Tim Hargraves, OiC 1461 Sqn said “A lot of hardwork has gone into finding the new platform and converting the information into a useable format. We know have a website that can be updated to ensure we are providing the latest information, demonstrating all the activities that we do here at 1461 Wigston Sqn.”
