Saturday June 14th sees the annual Fair in Bingham, Nottinghamshire. This year will see the Battle of Britain Spitfire perform a flypast. This has been arranged by staff from 1936 (Newton) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets.
Civilian Instructor Andrew Sherwin said, “We have had a good rapport with the Bingham Town Council and have arranged previous flypasts from the Dakota aircraft. This year, the Squadron has worked on gaining the attendance of the famous Spitfire. This marvellous, historic icon is highly sought after during the summer months and we have managed to book it.”
Details of the timings of the flypast will be published in the official programme of the Fair. The presence of the aircraft is subject to weather conditions and serviceability.
