Air Cadets and Staff from 209 (West Bridgford) ran a recruitment stall at this years Bridgfest Festival.

The annual festival held in West Bridgford Park is chiefly aimed at the 10-19 year age range with additional activities to suit a younger audience as well and traditionally attracts a lot of families. The festival has grown since it first started in 2009 attracting 500 young people, and every year has seen more people attending. 209s stall included videos about Air Cadet and RAF activities, adventure training and survival equipment and a Viking glider cockpit

The festival has been getting more and more popular with each year and is a great celebration of youth. There is something for everyone within the programme which includes body zorbing, slack lining, urban art and an interactive art wall. There were also attractions for young children including face painting, activities from Rushcliffe Play Forum and a bouncy castle. Themed activities took place in a range of different tents including the Youth Tent, Play Tent and the Creative Tent. There was also live music on a main stage where 14 local youth bands from across Rushcliffe played a variety of pop and rock music.
