Three Cadets from 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, joined together with other Cadets and Staff from around South and East Midlands Wing this month to attend the Ashes cricket match.
The days included greeting and organising the crowds on entry, offering directions, handing out leaflets, helping anyone around who may have needed it and of course, watching the match!
One Cadet to attend was Cadet Corporal Dodd, who spoke very highly of the event.
“Helping out at the Ashes 2015 was an amazing experience as I got to help the members of the British and Australian public and work with other Cadets and Staff from different squadrons in the Nottinghamshire area. I met a few famous people along the way and had a great laugh with a few groups of men, all dressed up for the cricket match.”
“Overall, I throughly enjoyed my time at Trent Bridge whilst representing 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron and the Air Training Corps as a whole. My highlight of the three days from the cricket was watching the Red Arrows flying over Trent Bridge cricket ground.”
