Two 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron Air Cadets have successfully passed their Method of Instruction Course. Cadet Warrant Officer Serena Linley and Sergeant Nissanka Mendis had passed all their Classification Exams and were now Master Cadets which qualified them to go on the Course.

Sgt Mendis said “The first part of the Course was held on a Saturday at 1359 (Beeston) Sqn. It obviously included lots of information about giving talks and lectures. We were also given the task of coming up with a 5 minute lesson using the techniques we had been shown. I choose to talk about polishing shoes. I received lots of good feedback which gave me pointers to improve on for the second part of the Course. This took place back at my Squadron where I gave a lesson on the 4 Stroke Engine which was assessed by Squadron Leader Wilson.”

Having successfully completed the Course both CWO Linley and Sgt Mendis have been presented with yellow lanyards.
