Five Cadets from 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets travelled to RAF Wittering to attend the South and East Midlands Wing run Staff Cadet Course.
The course is designed to deliver training in the syllabus of the Basic Adult Staff Induction Course (BASIC) which teaches Cadets that are turning 18 the aspects of child protection and how their age affects their cadet service. Successful completion of this course is a mandatory requirement for Cadets who wish to stay within the ATC after their 18th birthday.
Cadet Sergeant Kirk who is currently 17, turning 18 in September took part in the course today. “It was interesting to learn how our roles change once we hit the age of 18 and how to act appropriately in given scenarios.”
Well done to all five Cadets who attended.
