Three Air Cadets from 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron have spent a week with the RAF based on Gibraltar. Sergeant Josh Lee-Taylor, Corporal Michael Disney and Cadet Lydia Welham joined Cadets from all over the East Midlands for the multi-activity week.

Lydia Welham said of the experience, “Gibraltar Camp was without a doubt the best thing I have done so far in the cadets. The week was jam-packed with activities and once in a lifetime opportunities. For example everyone got to control the bomb disposable robot, using it to pick berets of heads and jerry cans from the floor. It’s hard to say what the best activity of the week was because everything was so good. However I particularly enjoyed the dolphin boat trip, the strenuous walk to the top of the rock, the water park and the visit around the Air Traffic Control Tower. I’m so grateful to the staff for making the camp so memorable and I recommend everyone to go on an Air Cadet Overseas Camp!”
