209 Make Improvised Shelter and Pizzas

Over 20 Air Cadets from 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron enjoyed a weekend adventure training weekend at the Blakeley Camp near Worksop.

Improvised Shelter

The camp included many traditional activities like building tents, bashers and improvised shelters but also included pizza making! The Camp had a simple pizza oven and the owners of the camp supplied two large containers of home made pizza dough. Each Cadet was given a portion of dough which they had to flatten and shape themselves. They then added a tomato sauce and had a choice of traditional pizza topping. The pizzas only took three minutes to cook in the oven and everyone thought the results tasted great!

The second day of the camp was spent at Sherwood Pines where the Cadets did an orienteering exercise.
