Air Cadets from 209 (West Bridgford) played a significant role in the Remembrance Day events in West Bridgford. They paraded the Union Flag, Royal British Legion Standard and 209 Sqn Flag at both the church service and War Memorial.
In a change to tradition, the church service held at St Giles took place before the Parade at the War Memorial. Both events were attended by the local MP, Ken Clarke and the Mayor of Rushcliffe, Councillor Brian Buschman.

The Church service was conducted by the Reverend Lee Proudlove and he recounted the story of Pegasus Bridge, the first action of D-Day. At the end of the service members of the church served coffee, pastries and pain-au-chocolats.
The focus then moved to the West Bridgford Memorial where the Wreaths were laid and the two minutes silence observed.
