Continuing its recruitment drive staff from 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron visited the Rushcliffe School on two mornings to speak about the Air Training Corps during morning assembly.

With less than ten minutes available the presentations had to be concise. Sgt Vincett introduced the presentation and spoke about the ATC in general before showing a short information film. Flying Officer Waring then spoke about 209 Sqn and the activities that we have planned for the next year.

Sgt Vincett who organised the presentations said, “At the end of the first assembly a large group came to the front of the hall where I was standing. I thought they were all interested in joining the ATC until half of them sat down and I realised that they had been called forward for a telling off by the Head of Year!”
