Seven Air Cadet from 209 (West Bridgford) Sqn have completed a two day St Johns Ambulance Youth First Aider Course.

The course covered everything from CPR to dealing with asthma, allergies, wounds and bleeding. It also taught the Cadets how to deal with emergency situations. The training was hands on with the Cadets practising on resuscitation dolls and the course finished with some scenario based assessments.

Flying Officer Waring who ran the course said “I was very pleased with the commitment of the Cadets and the enthusiasm they showed. While I hope they will never have to use the skills taught, I know they can cope should they need to.”

The following all passed the course. Cadets Zoe Kirk, Freddie Filz, Rosie Wildman, Eddie McManus, Ramesh Mendes, Lauren Robinson and Fajar Rizal.
