209's Joint Venture for Poppy Appeal 2014

Saturday 25th October saw 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron, South and East Midlands Wing, launching the 2014 Poppy Appeal at Nottingham Forest Football Club with 1208 (Warsop) Squadron, Trent Wing.

65 serving Army personnel, Veterans and Army and Air Cadets surrounded the pitch before the match, walking on to a standing ovation from the crowd.

Cadet Sergeant McDonald from West Bridgford Squadron and Cadet Corporal Burrows from Warsop Squadron then sold the first poppy to the Queens representative Col. Richmond the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire.

South and East Midlands Wing Air Cadets will be out collecting in Nottingham city centre on Saturday 1st November and again on Saturday 8th November to help support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
