2195 at a training day for OASC

On Sunday Civilian Instructor, Mr McHale and Cadet Warrant Officer Rebecca Parr attended the brand new South and East Midlands Wing OASC training day. This is a day that is aimed at aiding you in passing the Officer and Aircrew Selection Course at RAF Cranwell.

The training day covered group discussions, group planning exercises, leadership and leaderless tasks and the interview. All of these elements make up OASC.

The training day was very well ran by the directing staff and gave a real insight into what would be in the course, as well as input from officer cadets who had recently attended the course, all which helped OASC seem less daunting.

Both Mr McHale and Cadet Warrant Officer Parr found the course very useful with Cadet Warrant Officer Parr saying “It seemed to give great insight into OASC and helped me better understand what the course may be like, the training day simply builds upon what I learnt on the Pre Uniform Course and I would really recommend it to anyone considering becoming an officer.”
