2195 at the deep end

Article posted: Jul 21, 2015 by Sqn Ldr Wilson

On Thursday 16th June, the cadets of 2195 squadron dived into the pool at the Lenton centre. Here, they completed their basic, intermediate and advanced swimming proficiency awards.

This required them to display their skills in the pool, such as swimming a variety of strokes, treading water, collecting an object from the deep end and rescuing a casualty. The intermediate level required a t-shirt to be worn and the advance required a t-shirt as well as full length trousers.

After many of the cadets completed their awards, the cadets challenged the NCOs to a game of volley ball. Despite being outnumbered, the NCOs won convincingly.
