2195 Cadet on MOI course

Learning new skills!

Cadets from across the wing gathered at 126 (Derby) Squadron Air Training Crops for the first MOI course of the year. This course was attended by Cadet Corporal Catherine McHale from 2195 (Long Eaton) Air Training Corps went along to the course on Sunday.

The course consisted mainly in learning how to teach on the squadron, different teaching techniques, and how to cope with different types of characters within the classroom. PowerPoints were seen and a debate was held; a group lesson was arranged by the groups and those lessons then delivered flowed by half an hour preparation to deliver one’s own lesson. These lessons had feedback after the lesson. Feedback sheets were given by the staff to inform them on how the cadets believed the course had gone.
Corporal McHale said “It was a great course and I would
recommend to others to go and do the course it is good fun.”
