On August the 9th, two South and East Midlands Wing Staff Officers paid their annual visit to the cadets of 2195. Squadron Leader Carl Wilson and Squadron Leader Mark Richards were hugely impressed by the high standards of uniform and drill.
They commented how much the squadron, like last year, has consistently attained high levels of achievements including several courses, Wing Field Day and the squadrons amazing 4th place in the Auster trophy! This shows the tremendous effort that both the cadets and staff have put in throughout the course of the year. We now look to the future and hope we can sustain this standard for years to come.
The visit included an inspection of the whole squadron by both of the Squadron Leaders, and a march-past.
A number of the Junior cadets commented on how nerve-racking it was to have such a high ranking prestigious officers at the Squadron with everyone on parade. However, they relaxed and soon took it in their stride, and aim to equally impress next year- well done 2195!
