2229 Sqn Celebrate ATC Sunday
Article posted: Feb 15, 2010 by Sqn Ldr FlynnAs part of the ATC Sunday, which celebrates the anniversary of the Air Training Corps, 11 cadets and 8 staff from 2229 (Loughborough) Sqn travelled to Syston to participate in a parade organised by 1181 (Syston) Sqn to celebrate both ATC Sunday and the opening of their new Flight Simulator. The afternoon was attended by a number of VIP’s including the Commandant of the Air Cadets, Air Commodore Stewart. The parade was led by the 1084 (Market Harborough) Sqn band as well as the Corps banner. After the parade the cadets had a chance to meet the Commandant as well an opportunity to see the new flight simulator.
