Article received with many thanks to you all.
Rev’d Rosie Whitley.

There are two recent occasions when 2229 (Loughborough) Squadron have really helped us out at the Church of the Good Shepherd:

1. On Monday 25th June, the Squadron turned out in strength and delivered leaflets throughout our large Parish of over 12,000 which gave notification of our Summer Fete on 7th July.
All the cadets, under the excellent supervision of WO Butler and supported by members of the Civilian Committee and CI’s, worked very hard as they walked around the area posting the leaflets through all the letter boxes. Thankfully, they all returned with fingers in tact!
Thank you all. It is a task our elderly congregation would desperately struggle with.

2. On Saturday 7th July, from about 9.00am until about 4.30pm, the following cadets arrived at the Church to help at the Summer Fete:
Cdt Matthew YOUNG

They all worked really hard putting up gazeboes , setting up the stalls, fetching and carrying all sorts of items, manning stalls when the Fete opened and then helping to clear everything away afterwards.
Throughout the day they were all so polite and willingly responded to our every every request for help. They were also cheerful and not only did we appreciate their help, we also enjoyed their company. So, on behalf of the Church of the Good Shepherd, “THANK YOU” very much for all your help. You were really good ambassadors for the Squadron and ATC as a whole.

It is our prayer that God will bless you, together with all 2229 (Loughborough) Squadron and the Staff.

With many thanks to you all.
