Myself and Corporal Remi Munn had the honour of representing the wing for open girls Netball 2014. It all began through the two practice/selection sessions on the 19th of October and 26th October where as a squadron we were able to take with us eight females to work together and push each other to achieve the very best. This was an opportunity for the wing to work together and also compete for the positions and places on the team. The competition was fierce but very encouraging as it allowed everyone to pick up their game and strive to be picked for the Wing team. After the two sessions the team was picked and the enthusiasm increased.

On the 2nd of November, the girls gathered together and worked to prove to every other Wing that we were there to take home medals. After a rough start, the girls and I picked it up and managed to win games at 14-0 and 13-3. South and East Midlands open Netball girls team finished on a high of coming second. Together we all showed each other and the other Wings ambition to win and playing the best we can to make our Wing and Squadrons proud.
