On the second weekend of April, 7 cadets ventured out to walk on the moors of Matlock Bath and surrounding areas. Their first day started well despite the weather being poor. Though after reaching the first checkpoint they took a wrong turn and ended up 5km away in the small town of Snitterton. However they did come across some very interesting caves and jug holes whilst getting back on track. After the scenic detour, they were soon back on track and headed towards their next checkpoint.
After reaching the campsite, which was home for the weekend, they tucked into a hearty meal before socialising with each other for the night.
Their second day proved to be a much more successful day than the first. The team was a lot more closely knit and working with each other much more efficiently. It went without any hiccups and they swiftly reached the finishing campsite to be picked up and taken home for a well deserved rest.
