Youth First Aid Course.

On the 2nd and the 3rd of February, Cpl Harrison, Cdt Tinkler, Cdt Rajakaruna and Cpl Green attended the Youth First Aid course at 2425 (Nottingham Airport) Squadron.

When first arriving at the squadron, the cadets were given a warm welcome from all of the staff on our course. They would be teaching everything the cadets needed to know.

Starting with a funny ice breaker that eased the tension between all of the cadets. After a hard working, first aid learning, 6 hour day, cadets were then ready for the following day ahead. Due to end with a testthe cadets hoped to pass.

Starting the second and last day of the weekend course, the squadron had a quick clean and the cadets were all ready to take the test. Two by two the cadets put into practice what had been learnt over the weekend, hoping for the best results they could get.

The weekend ended on a high, with all cadets passing the Youth First Aid Course. Cpl Green said “I’m very excited to be hopefully going on to my next first aid course this year! I want to also say congratulations to everyone who took part in the course and passed their test (Including all four of us from 2418 SQN ) And a VERY BIG thank you to the course staff”
