2502 (Hamilton) Squadron bid a fond farewell to Fg Off Michael Nash

At The Belmont Hotel in Leicester, 2502 (Hamilton) celebrated their Annual Dining In Night. This years Dining in Night had an air of sadness as they bid farewell to Fg Off Michael Nash.

Mike Nash was commissioned as an officer in South and East Midlands Wing in June 2005 joining Hamilton in 2006 as a pilot officer working with Flt Lt Julie Rayson-Flynn and then with Fg Off Paul Vassarni. In 2008 Mike teamed up with Flt Lt Andy Faulkner, their successful partnership has taken Hamilton from small squadron with only 8 cadets to a thriving unit with over 50 cadets. Mike has been instrumental in developing the extensive training program alongside Andy. He has also worked extensively with the Wing Cadet Development Team on various courses over the years.

In 2012 Mike achieved his ILM licentiateship in Youth Leadership and Training graduating at a ceremony at The Royal Naval College Dartmouth

Cadets and staff from Hamilton presented Mike with an engraved decanter and glass as a token of their appreciation for all his hard word and dedication over the last 7 years.

Mike will be transferring to Beds and Cambs Wing to work with 2462 (Oakley) Squadron. Squadron wish him all the best at his new squadron.
