On a cold and sunny morning the Villagers of Evington, cadets and staff of 2502 (Hamilton) Squadron Air Training Corps (ATC) held their annual Remembrance Service.

In front of a crowd of villagers Revd Anthony Lees-Smith of St Denys Church Evington conducted a short service at the Village’s war memorial. The service included the act of remembrance, wreath laying and the two minutes silence at 11 o’clock.

After the service the cadets and staff of 2502 squadron and 19th Evington scouts marched from the memorial to the church behind the cross of the church. A full service was held in St Denys Church in front of full congregation, followed by prayers at the garden of remembrance.
