In 2010 and 2011, Hamilton Squadron took part in “Around the World in 48 Hours” and “50 States in 50 Hours” in their 737 Simulator.
They are now preparing to do it again in their most epic adventure yet!!
From Wednesday 21st August through Sunday 25th August cadets and staff of 2502 will be taking on a 100 hour challenge.
They will be flying to 34 RAF or former RAF bases, covering over 35,000 miles in 100 hours.
The cadets are being sponsored for this event and the money raised will be going to the RAFA Wings Appeal.
Do you want to get involved? There will be opportunities for people to fly legs within the 100 hours. Full training will be given, you will be given the chance to plan the leg, work out the fuel required, analyse the weather and conditions for the flight. Then fly the leg, some legs will be a couple of hours and others longer. The flight is non stop so there will be flights in the day or overnight.
Minimum donation for the flight experience will be £10, all going to RAFA Wings Appeal. Both staff and cadets can get involved.
If you would like to get involved the please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will put you on the list and will let you know what flight slot are available and the length of those slots. You will need to contact us by 18th August but the earlier you contact us more chance you have of securing a leg.
