348 Cadet appointed Mayor Cadet.

Cpl A Hallam.

Congratulations and well done to Cpl Aimie Hallam, who has recently been appointed as the Mayor’s Cadet for the area of Erewash.

Cpl Hallam has been in the ATC for 18 months and has worked hard on the Sqn to achieve many things including her bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and to become a leading cadet. She was also recently promoted to her current rank of Cadet Cpl due to her excellent level of commitment and hard work at the Sqn. In the future Cpl Hallam hopes to enter the RAF and become a Fighter Control Officer.

“Aimie Hallam, 16, of Cotmanhay, is standing this year as the Mayor’s Cadet.

She is supporting the Mayor in her endeavours to raise money for her chosen charities and will also help her to promote the positive things young people in the community are doing and hopefully encourage other children and young people to get more involved in their community.

Aimie is part of the 348 Air Training Squadron, based at the Drill Hall on Albert Street, Ilkeston.”
