On Sunday (10 May) Mannock’s very own sporting heroes represented the unit at the South and East Midlands Wing annual Athletics Competition. The cadets competed with those from 28 other Squadrons in the area and returned triumphant.

Amongst the accolades, Cadet Sean Lyddall (15), forged ahead winning the 800 metre ‘B Class’ with a new Wing record time and by taking gold in the ‘B Class’ long jump. Sean has now been selected to represent the Wing for it’s regional competition.

Flight Lieutenant William Kellock, Commanding Officer of 378 Squadron, said: “It’s been a fantastic effort from all the team members today. Every participant has advanced the Squadron’s standing for this event and should be rightly proud of themselves.”
