The Banner Drill Team from Mannock Squadron were out on parade today as they took part in the annual competition run by South and East Midlands Wing ATC.
The Squadron’s five strong team, along with its reserves, travelled to RAF Wittering to compete against the 28 other units from around the Wing. The competition itself sees the teams inspected and marked for both their appearance and for their Banner Drill skills.
Flight Lieutenant William Kellock, Commanding Officer of Wellingborough’s Air Cadets, said “We look forward to seeing the results of the competition come through but one thing is for sure is that our team worked really hard. So a big well done to them, as well as the staff that gave them the training and support.”
Mannock Squadron, based at Spring Gardens in Wellingborough, is currently recruiting for adult volunteer staff as well as welcoming new cadets to its ranks.
