Cadets at 422 Corby took on a new challenge for their D of E sport. They under took a 13 week course of Aikido training. This included Theory and Practical aspects of the Martial Art Aikido.
The cadets found the challenge of learning about a martial art very interesting as well as physically demanding.
The course was made possible by Civilian Instructor Mark Wilkins, who joined the squadron in November last year. CI Wilkins is a 2nd Dan Aikido and readily agreed to share his experience with the cadets.
Nine cadets received their achievement certificates from OIC Fg Off Helen Gibson and CI Mark Wilkins. CI Wilkins also received his certificate of appointment.
