Flight Lieutenant Andy Faulkner got his five minutes of fame this week when he was interviewed on live radio. Interviewed by Mike Howarth from British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) Radio, Flt Lt Faulkner was quizzed about Hamilton squadron’s charity challenge they were doing in September.
The interview was all about the fundraiser set for September. The challenge is to fly to 50 States of America in 50 hours on the squadron’s flight simulator. Cadets have been working hard on the training courses as well as the flight plans.

When asked Flt Lt Faulkner said “The planning stage is about to kick into overdrive, sorting all those final details. Not an easy task considering we have to cater for 40 cadets and staff over the course of the event, not to mention the flight plans, pre flight briefings and looking the cadets.”
After the interview, Flt Lt Faulkner commented “The interview when very well and was the most exhilarating and scary thing I have done. I was nervous for day prior to the interview, but in the end a good result all round”
