Article posted: Nov 25, 2009 by Flt Lt Waplington

504 (West Nottingham) Squadron has just had a change of Officer Commanding. After four years in command, Flight Lieutenant Paul Woodward, is relinquishing command as his wife has their second child in January.
The new CO is Flight Lieutenant Emma MacAndrew who was a cadet with the Wing, raising to the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer, before gaining her commission in 2001. In 2004 Flt Lt MacAndrew left the area and joined Durham and Northumberland Wing. She then moved to Central and East Yorkshire wing in 2007. Flt Lt MacAndrew recently returned back to the Wing, and briefly attended 1360 Squadron, where she had served as a cadet, before moving to 504 (West Nottingham) Squadron.

Flt Lt Woodward said ‘I wish 504 every success for the future under the command of Emma, it will be a pleasure to work with her building the unit ready for our new building which is scheduled for FY2010/2011’.

Flt Lt MacAndrew said ‘504 is a wonderful squadron, with some great prospects. I know with the dedication and hardwork of both the staff team and cadets, we will achieve all we set out to in the years to come.’
