504 (West Nottingham) Squadron RAF Air Cadets, recently had the pleasure of standing alongside 504 (County of Nottingham) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force at the dedication of a Memorial to the Lost Airmen of 504 Sqn RAF in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire.
504 Sqn was founded at RAF Hucknall (Now Rolls-Royce) in March 1928 – and served with Honours during the Battle of Britain, and had many celebrity members – such as Plt Off HH Prince Alexander Obolensky of Russia

Fg Off Paul Woodward said “It was an honour to offer our sister numbered squadron support at this event – it marks a significant point in Hucknall’s history and points as a fitting memorial to all who lost their lives whilst serving under the 504 Banner.”, 504 Sqn RAF Association representative Mr Peter Moore said that “ The cadets are a tremendous credit to 504 squadron. They were all so smart and courteous which is down to the training and dedication. Cadet Beth Stair did an excellent execution of the reading at such short notice”.
