504 Squadron Active in the Local Community

504 (West Nottingham) Squadron recently took part in an Autumn Fair, actively seeking to raise the profile of the Unit and the Wider Air Cadet Organisation amongst potential new recruits in the local community. The Autumn Fair was organised by the Squadron Padre at 504, Rev Mandy Cartwright, who was keen that 504 Squadron be present at the event.

Using the Wing marquee, as well as promotional material and having Cadets and staff on hand to advise anyone interested in joining, 504 Squadron attracted significant interest and was able to project the opportunities available in the Air Training Corps to a wide and varied audience.

Squadron Commander at 504, Flight Lieutenant Jodi Hudson, said: “I am pleased that 504 Squadron was a part of this event, as I know we have increased our presence and profile in the local community significantly as a result of it. We have already seen several new recruits join the Unit, following their interest in seeing us at the Autumn Fair. We are very grateful to our Squadron Padre for inviting us to be a part of this event.”
