On Sunday 20th September 2009 CI Lee took 7 cadets to RAF CRANWELL for a flying experience we would never forget.

We were told to meet at the sqn for 10:20hrs and the coach that we shared with 1360 sqn arrived at 10:30hrs. The weather was great for flying.

When we arrived we were taken in to a room for a briefing and also watched a video explaining what it would be like. Whilst people were waiting for their turn we watched Bring it on and Family guy.

When it was our turn we went and got kitted up with a parachute, gloves, sunglasses and a helmet, it was now TIME TO FLY.

My experience in the grob tutor was amazing, we learnt how to roll the plane, then the pilot asked if I wanted to do aerobatics and I said yes then we looped the loop the g-force was immense but a great feeling.

When everyone had finished the cadets who hadn’t flown before received certificates.

All in all it was a great day with CDT Griffin later saying “Flying was sick”
