A conundrum beset the staff of 2502 (Hamilton) Air cadets, “How do we sell loads of raffle tickets this year?” So after a phone call or two, the answer was found and a challenge set.

Flying Officer Michael Nash had managed to secure 10 cadets a flight in a Chinook helicopter at RAF Odiham. So the challenge was set that the top 10 sellers of raffle tickets would secure those seats.

The cadets rose to the challenge and through sales on their own and sales at Knighton Park Community Funday. They managed to sell a staggering £675 of raffle tickets.

Civilian Instructor Liz Moore said “The cadets have done fantastically well this year is the best ever raffle tickets sales we’ve had. I am really pleased. They’ve really got into the competitive spirit of it all and had fun doing it.”

The Top 10 winning cadets were:-

Cdt E Taylor, Cpl C Lynch, Cpl J Elliott, Jnr Cdt L Middleton, Sgt J Elliott,Cpl N Kalyan, Cpl K Devani, Jnr Cdt J Taylor, Cdt H Adams, Cdt K Parmar

They will all be off to RAF Odiham in the October half-term for their flight.
