Alpha, Bravo, Charlie…
It’s 10 o’clock on a grey Saturday morning at 2195 (Long Eaton) Squadron ATC. 4 budding new cadets are up and ready to learn. Whilst you are all shopping or in bed, these cadets are learning basic radio skills.

Delta, Echo, Foxtrot…
Its battleships time! The cadets split off into pairs and had a game using the skills they had learned previously in the lesson to see who sinks and who floats to win the game.

Golf, Hotel, India…
After the game of battleships, the cadets got back to their lesson to further their knowledge on radio by learning call signs and other skills.

Cadet Charlie Needham said “it has been great and I have learned a lot of new skills including the phonetical alphabet.”
