Cadets and staff at 1461 Wigston Squadron Air Training Corps, are again having to come to terms with the loss of a member of the squadron staff. Recently retired, former Officer Commanding Flt Lt Neil Liquorish RAFVR (T) passed away on Tuesday 15th July after a long illness. This follows the tragic loss of Civilian Instructor John Orwin. Both stalwart members of the squadron they will be greatly missed.

Flt Lt Neil Liquorish gave over 40 years service to the Air Training Corps working up through the ranks from being a cadet himself. His last post was as Squadron Commander of the Tiger Road Squadron but in his service he spent a great deal of time at other squadrons throughout the City of Leicester. There will be few cadets who have not been influenced by Neil’s guiding hand.
