Another Wing H&S Course Completed

Article posted: Sep 23, 2007 by Sqn Ldr Pass

12 staff from across the Wing attended the final Risk Assessment training course for 2007 on Sunday 23 October. The course was organised by Squadron Leader Andy Pass (Wing Health & Safety Officer) and presented by Mr Frank Booth HQAC H&S Adviser.

The aim of the course was to provide additional knowledge of the key aspects to completing Risk Assessments within the Air Cadet Organisation. This was an assessed course for which it is hoped that all who attended have passed (results to follow). Each successful attendee will receive a certificate from HQAC confirming they have passed.

This course now means 55 members of staff from across the Wing have received formal training on completing Risk Assessments and therefore help to ensure Squadron activities are conducted in a safe and controlled manner.

More courses in 2008 may be available subject to Squadron need, therefore contact the Wing HSO should you wish to attend any future courses.
