Bag Packing in Beeston

Article posted: Jan 03, 2014 by Sqn Ldr Wilson

In the lead up to Christmas cadets from 1359 (Beeston) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, spent two days bag packing at the Tesco store in Beeston, Nottingham.

Over the two days the cadets raised in excess of £2,000 which will help to keep the Squadron’s minibus on the road for another year as well as help with the various activities that they have planned for 2014. The chair of the Civilian Committee, Mrs Ann Middleton, commented “The cadets have done themselves proud once again. They turned up in force, looking very smart and behaving impeccably, to raise these funds. We had great feedback from the public and staff at Tesco.”

Everyone at 1359 would like to thank Tesco Beeston for accommodating them over the two days and special thanks to all the customers who contributed to the collection.
