1359 (Beeston) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, were recently invited to go live on Radio Nottingham’s Gareth Evans Show to talk about the activities the Corps has to offer young people.

CI Mike Hill and Cadet Sergeant (Sgt) Sophie Gibson went along on the afternoon of the 8th October to speak to Gareth and to publicise the Squadron’s Recruitment Open Evening which took place that same evening.

Gareth asked various questions which gave CI Hill and Sgt Gibson plenty of opportunity to promote the activities offered to young people and to also talk about their experiences as part of 1359 and the Corps as a whole.

Afterwards Sgt Gibson commented “I was so nervous, I could hardly speak to start with. But I quickly composed myself and really enjoyed the experience.”
