Bilborough Air Cadets honor West Indian Ex-Servicemen

Members of Staff and Cadets from 504 (West Nottingham) Squadron, Air Cadets based in Bilborough, Nottingham recently honored the Ex-Serviceman of the West Indian Islands who served during WW2.

The ceremony at Chasewood Babtist Church, St. Annes, Nottingham attended by The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Nottingham – Councillor Gul Nawaz Khan & the Chair of Nottinghamshire County Council – The Hon Joan Taylor – was to lay-up the standard of the West Indian Ex-Serviceman’s Association. The standard was carried to rest by Cadet Flight Sergeant Anton Nunnick, with other members of the Air Training Corps forming a guard of honor.

Led by staff members WO (ATC) Jim Dennis, Flt Sgt (ATC) Steph Curtis and Sgt (ATC) Eva Trelfa – the Cadets also enjoyed the hospitality of the West Indian congregation after the ceremony.
